Book a Photographer

We once again call upon our outstanding WOMEX Photographers who will be on hand to capture all the very best moments, exchanges and shows of WOMEX 13.

They will post their photos daily to their individual sites – should you be on the lookout for photos, please contact them directly to discuss terms.

A selection of their photos will also be made available in medium size on the WOMEX Flickr page under a CC-BY Creative Commons license, meaning the photos can be distributed free of charge so long as the photographer is credited for the image each time.

Jacob Crawfurd

Jacob Crawfurd (Denmark)

Jacob Crawfurd works as a freelance photographer within press, business, music and portraits. He has executed many music portraits and band photos and has a large archive of concert images from the world, jazz and rock scenes. He primarily directs his lens towards bands, concerts and cultural activities, but also produces music videos and short documentaries. Jacob's interest in African culture and development issues has taken him to the continent on several assignments and he is also involved in arranging and promoting African-related events in Denmark.

Yannis Psathas

Yannis Psathas (Greece)

He discovered his passion for music photography while taking his first steps in Thessaloniki’s music scene in 1999. After finishing his photography studies in Spain in 2004, he worked for the national edition of Rolling Stone magazine for almost three years, covering many major music events and artists. Recently, he has completed assignments for artists, record companies and media from Greece, Spain and overseas. Since 2007 he lives and works in Thessaloniki as a freelancer specialising in landscape, architecture, advertising and music photography.

Eric van Nieuwland

Eric van Nieuwland (The Netherlands)

Eric van Nieuwland lives and works in the Netherlands as a photojournalist. His work combines the two worlds of his great passions: jazz and world music. Alongside photographing for artist management and record companies, Eric is a writer/photographer for websites reporting on cultural events. His work is known for capturing the right atmosphere and special moments. This will be his fifth year as an official WOMEX Photographer and he now also captures WOMEX’s sister event, Classical:NEXT.
