update 24.10.2007
subject to change

"As for the line-up for this year's WOMEX, I find it a rich mixture of unknowns and those who deserve greater limelight. We're sure to be swept onto our dancing feet by the likes of Kasai Allstars, Seun Kuti and especially the Balkan Beat Box. I'm glad there are spots for quality groups like Lo Còr de la Plana, Ross Daly, Telmary, The Dizu Plaatjies Ibuyambo Ensemble and Mayra Andrade. I'm looking forward to discovering new sounds from Albania, Congo, Cambodia, Belize, etc. It seems well-balanced both geographically, and stylistically."
Daniel Brown, RFI/Mondomix

top Night Showcases; Right in the city centre!

New for 2007:
2007 promises the fullest integration yet with the city of Sevilla, this Gateway to the Americas and to the world. With the daytime Conference, Trade Fair and Day Cases at FIBES, the night time Showcase Festival will be housed right in the city centre at the historic Teatro Lope de Vega/Casino de la Exposición and at the Plaza de España a five minute walk away (check out the venue map here!). We are working in partnership with local festival producers to assure the best possible conditions. The Teatro Lope de Vega is at the hub of one of the busiest crossroads for public transportation, with buses, taxis, all converging right beside us. The train from FIBES lets you off a short walk away.
