Direct Link to Sweden The Öresund Bridge connects Copenhagen with the southernmost region of Sweden, Skåne, thereby creating a transnational metropolitan area called the Öresund Region - a new centre of Northern Europe. You can reach Malmö, the capital of Skåne either by train, bus or car by crossing the bridge. Public Transport in Copenhagen Special 3-Day WOMEX Public Transport Pass on Sale A cheap and easy way to travel around Copgenhagen. Get your 3-day WOMEX travel pass covering downtown Copenhagen, the WOMEX daytime venue Bella Center, the nighttime venue Copenhagen Concert Center and the airport. It costs 141,75 DKK (approx. 19 euros) and allows you to ride bus, metro and local trains (S-train) from Thursday, 29 - Saturday, 31 October. You start saving money if you use the local transport more than twice a day. The pass can be purchased at the WOMEX Info Counter just inside the main entrance of Bella Center from Wednesday 15:00. The number of tickets is limited. In the Greater Copenhagen area, you can change buses, metro, trains and the yellow "harbour bus" using the same tickets and discount cards. Ordinary basic tickets can be purchased from vending machines at stations, ticket offices and on buses from the driver. The Copenhagen Metro opened a new stretch between the airport and city centre in September 2007 - to the benefit of both visitors and Copenhageners. It only takes 15 minutes to get from the airport to Kongens Nytorv to the heart of Copenhagen, but of course you can get off at a number of stations beforehand, like Christianshavn or Nørreport, or you can continue to the final stop, Vanløse. The metro station at the airport (Lufthavnen) is located at the end of Terminal 3 and is covered by the roof of the terminal. The Metro operates at four to six minutes' intervals during the day and evening hours and every 15-20 minutes during the night. Tickets for the Metro are available at the Metro station and at the DSB ticket sales counter in Terminal 3. Please note that the ticket machines do not accept notes, only coins and cards such as the Dankort, VISA, etc. Check-in for return flights is available at the metro station Lufthavnen – at the end of Terminal 3 – there are now two self-service kiosks where passengers can print out both boarding cards and baggage tags. All major airlines are connected to these kiosks. More transport information and timetables All metro lines, S- and regional trains on one map Taxis Taxis are plentiful in the city. All taxis in Copenhagen are licensed by the authorities and are equipped with meters. Taxis can be flagged down anywhere in Copenhagen. If the yellow "Taxa" light on the roof of the car or in the front window is on, the taxi is available for hire. The meter starts at 24-37 Danish kronen (DKK).
