The Copenhagen Jazz Festival (CJF) is one of the great musical celebrations ofCopenhagen’s cultural calendar, taking place each year in early July. Shifting freelyfrom happy New Orleans jazz to cutting-edge jazz-electronica, the 10-day-long CJFoffers nearly 100 concerts daily, taking place just about anywhere; from small dusty venues to parks, pedestrian areas, boats or jazz-institutions, featuring anything from local hard-core experimentalists to international legends. Roskilde Festival is the largest music festival in Northern Europe and took place for the first time in 1971. The festival is run by 30 full-time employees and thousands of volunteers. Each year, The Roskilde Festival Charity Society, the non-profit organization behind the festival, ensures that all profits earned on the festival are donated directly to humanitarian and cultural purposes. Over the last 36 years more than 13,3 million EUR has been distributed worldwide.
