The South African umbrella organisation SAMEX will be present at the WOMEX Trade Fair with more stands than ever before. David Alexander from SAMEX, acknowledges "WOMEX is a cutting edge conference which keeps musicians, record labels, and entertainment businesses up-to-date on the latest industry developments. SAMEX encourages young economically empowered music companies from South Africa to enter the international market and participate at WOMEX to present themselves to professionals both from Africa and all over the world, to ensure their local sustainability and success."
The African Music Export Office BEMA based in Dakar (Senegal) will be be exhibiting at WOMEX, as will be Umané Culture (Burkina Faso), Afrik'Aktion (Gabon) and Busara Promotions (Tanzania) - all part of the ACP Music Festivals Network.
The African Music Export Office BEMA has also set up a Networking Meeting at WOMEX assembling BEMA members as well as interested non-members on Saturday morning, 30 October at Forum Copenhagen.

WOMEX SHOWCASE & OPENING CONCERT TICKETS NOW ON SALE!
Delegates of course have access to all events at WOMEX including all concerts (subject to capacity). But if you want to bring friends or family to the performances tickets are available. There are separate tickets for the Opening concert (Wednesday night, 27 October)and for the nighttime Showcase Festival (Thursday 28 - Saturday 30 October), where all stages will be open to the ticket holders.
There are NO tickets on sale for the Award Ceremony on Sunday and the Daycases, as they are open to Delegates only.

Tickets will also be sold at the box office in the nighttime venue DR Koncerthuset. Doors open at 20:00.
