WOMEX Opening: The best of Flamenco
As a final, fond farewell to Sevilla, this year's WOMEX Opening will bring the best of flamenco present and future. We're thrilled to announce that the great Miguel Poveda will be kicking off the evening. Poveda's won nearly every award there is in Spain and abroad, including Grammys and Spain's Premio Nacional de Música in interpretation from the Ministry of Culture.
Be there and you'll see why. Sevilla's own Ultra High Flamenco opens the show. It's all rounded off by late-night DJing from Los Rumbers. Be there on Wednesday, 29 October, at the Teatro Lope de Vega.

This year we are introducing Mentoring Sessions to the WOMEX Conference line-up. Delegates can reserve private, free, 15-minute consultations with any of our six special mentors. As you can see on the link, they come from various fields and occupations, and are here to offer useful advice. But you must reserve a slot to take advantage.

Hosted each day by a different media delegate and open to all WOMEX participants, these sessions answer a longstanding request – to provide the time and place to take up the issues, ideas and inspirations that surface each day at WOMEX.
