The showcase of Sidestepper (Colombia) on Saturday, 1 November 1:15 - 2:00 on Plaza de España: Pavilion 1 was cancelled and will be replaced by

Orquestra Àrab de Barcelona (Morocco/Greece/Spain)

Music of the new Spain... or, should that be the old Spain? Meet at the Mediterranean crossroads of Morocco, Spain and the Arab world, all filtered through the sensibilities of a dynamic group of musicians living in Barcelona. Eastern classical music, spiritual songs, Gnaoua, Andalusí, Chaabí and Arabian traditional - all come from the Mediterranean territories.

MySpace has launched a new joint venture between itself and the four major music companies, which will see equity for the majors, but for no one else. Even the major independent artists whose music will help attract ad revenue will have no equity stake in the venture. There is quite a story here...
