Dear WOMEXicans,
During our last site visit in Copenhagen we noticed that you can actually
see the WOMEX nighttime venue - Copenhagen Concert Hall - from the
WOMEX daytime venue. It's really close - just two metro
stations away!
Anyway, here is some vital information for you on this year's WOMEX
Conference:

HELP US EVALUATE virtualWOMEX
We would like to ask you to participate in our survey* on virtualWOMEX (if you haven't already done so) - even if you are not a registered user. We had already sent out an email to all virtualWOMEX users some time ago but did not receive enough feedback to obtain valid results.
Here is the link to the survey.
Your valuable feedback will help us provide better functions and services to you in the future. Please fill out the survey before Wednesday, 12 August.
* The survey is part of a research project conducted within the Department of Economics at the Freie Universitaet Berlin by Gabriele Hemmersbach. She evaluates user feedback on online platforms such as virtualWOMEX.
Thank you very much for your participation.
AFRICAN SYNERGY FOR INTRA-AFRICAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE
AFRICAN SYNERGY is a regional arts' NGO based out of Johannesburg focused on music and arts collaboration across Africa to see a decisive break with 'cultural isolation' within Africa.
AFRICAN SYNERGY works through a network of festivals, venues and cultural operators, comprising 77 partners in 17 countries (across all regions) and growing fast. Their AFRICAN TOUR CIRCUIT program has, since inception mid-2006, organised 52 tours across Africa, involving 250-plus artists (with many emerging artists) from 19 countries touring to 14 countries, including ground-breaking collaborations between musicians from different regions.
The latest project is the "Acoustic Africa" 2009 debut tour in Southern Africa (to South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, Namibia) featuring Habib Koite (Mali) and Vusi Mahlasela (South Africa) with Dobet Gnahore (Cote D'Ivoire) under African Tour Circuit by African Synergy and partners.
AFRICAN SYNERGY is linked to Harare's famed BOOK CAFE, which alone stages 650 performances annually, 70% music.
