Here we go. It's that time of year. WOMEX 09 Copenhagen approaches
and we are ready to announce our first major step towards providing a
generous selection of the best artists, speakers and films. It's our
annual call for proposals.

It’s time for Showcase, Conference & Film proposals for WOMEX 09 Copenhagen. Come perform, come speak or project your film at "the premier world music event on the planet".
Artists: Propose to play before up to 1,000 international bookers, countless labels, distributors, journalists and industry professionals – everyone you need to help launch, re-launch, sustain and expand your career.
Speakers: Share your ideas, your enthusiasm, your knowledge with your peers.
Filmmakers: Come show your film and join in our partnership with the IMZ in our World Music Films on Tour programme.

WOMEX STAGE AT SXSW
Austin’s famed SXSW has invited WOMEX to programme a world music stage at the Copa showcase venue for Friday, 20 March. Come join us for a night of the best of world music with Chiwoniso (Zimbabwe), Tita Lima (Brazil), Alash (Russia), Polka Madre (Mexico), Choc Quib Town (Colombia) and one more artist still to be confirmed.
