We've also sent out an email with a personalised link to everyone who registered last year - with all your information already filled in. To register for WOMEX 09 simply proofread and send it back in again.
The Trade Fair plan is now posted on our website, too. Book your stand now - the earlier you do it, the better is your chance to be able to choose your location. Unlike last year, the entire Trade Fair will be in a single hall.

A word about WOMEX 09 registration and stand pricing:
We approach this, our 15th anniversary edition of WOMEX. Coming into Copenhagen, we made two commitments: first, to raise overall production standards, and, second, in recognition of the music industry crisis, to keep prices as low as possible, even the same in the vast majority of areas. This despite our own production costs having risen quite significantly.
We are happy to report that we have largely succeeded in both endeavours. WOMEX 09 will be hosted in a state-of-the-art conference centre, the nighttime Showcases (venue to be announced shortly) will take place in a simply spectacular venue all under one roof - AND registration prices have been held to 2008 rates in nearly all areas. To accomplish this, however, we did have to make a few small compromises.
1. Basic registration fees stay the same for delegates and media... with the only change being in the Company Rate for the 4th delegate onwards.
2. Basic Trade Fair costs stay the same, even though our own costs for the Trade Fair space have increased. To accomplish this, there was a choice to make: either increase prices or decrease size. We assumed that these financial times demanded the latter, so the size of the stand went from 2 x 4 square metres last year to 2 x 3 square metres this year.
3. Don't let the Danish VAT scare you! The 25% rate can be reimbursed for professionals outside Denmark. See below for details.

A list with hotels in Copenhagen ranging from budget to luxury is now available online. We have in cooperation with Welcome negotiated special prices for all participants. We trust you will note that there are many competitively-priced options:
- a wide range of double rooms for 50-60 euros per person/night
- eight hotels with single rooms for less than 100 euros/night
- choosing rooms for triple or quadruple use makes your stay even cheaper
- four hostels are on offer as well

SHOWCASE PROPOSAL SUBMISSION
This is an important note for everybody who has submitted - or will submit - a WOMEX 09 Showcase proposal through Sonicbids:
After having completed Step I of the proposal process (which is creating and submitting your online EPK through Sonicbids) you should have received a confirmation email stating "WOMEX submission received". If you haven't got this mail, your submission was not completed! In that case please contact us, mailto:showcase@womex.com
Furthermore, don't forget Step II: send 2 CDs and and any available DVDs/video material to the WOMEX office in Berlin.
