The WOMEX team has just returned from another site visit to Copenhagen and all is shaping up very nicely for the next WOMEX edition, 27 - 31 October.
MAJOR INTERNATIONAL NETWORKS SCHEDULE MEETINGS AT WOMEX
Get together, brainstorm, discuss and develop; WOMEX provides professional networks from all across the globe with a platform for their annual meetings.
"Attending WOMEX provides a great opportunity for us to meet all our business partners in one place and could save us several international trips every year", reports Yoojung KIM (Korea Arts Management Service), organiser of the Asian Pacific Networking meeting. "WOMEX is the only event to gain an understanding of the global world music market, meet key players and discover the latest trends and issues that the industry faces."
We can now expose details of the first networking engagements on the schedule this year so far:
- Asian Pacific Networking Meeting, Exchange Practice and Ideas: Catch up with the latest trends in Asian Pacific music business.

- European Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals (EFWMF) Networking Meeting: The global festival network meets for the second time at WOMEX.

- Nordic World and Roots Music Network (NOVnet) Meeting: A Nordic network for presenting world music in Scandinavia.

MATCHMAKING FOR PUBLISHERS: REGISTER BEFORE FRIDAY, 13 AUGUST
Hurry to reserve your place! This is a final call out to all those publishers attending WOMEX 10. The deadline for registering interest in Matchmaking is Friday, 13 August.
This new service aims to promote the networking opportunities at WOMEX and connect interested publishers or sub-publishers from around the world - free of charge. Last year at WOMEX 09, there were over 200 music publishers alone, representing around 50 different countries, making WOMEX a perfect platform for bringing publishers together from around the globe for business networking.
The Matchmaking will be curated by Rosita Kürbis from Komplize Produktion and is supported by DMV, the German Music Publishers' Association, and VUT, the Association of Independent Music Companies from Germany.
