Last Call for Showcase, Conference & Film Proposals

Dear WOMEXicans,
Only a few days left to propose your Showcase, Film or Conference for WOMEX 12 Thessaloniki, Wednesday 17 to Sunday 21 October - so act fast!
LAST CALL FOR SHOWCASE, CONFERENCE & FILM PROPOSALS
Deadline for all proposals is Friday, 13 April 2012.
Calling all artists, speakers and filmmakers one last time: This Friday is the deadline for all programme proposals for WOMEX 12, so make sure you get your Showcase, Film and Conference submissions in by then! If you are proposing a Showcase, please read the note further below.
Bear in mind that this year WOMEX is particularly welcoming Conference and Film proposals around the ongoing jazz & world focus at WOMEX, as well as those exploring the local Southeastern European music industry of the new host region.
Jean Michel Gibert (Trinidad and Tobago), Caribbean Music Group, said of their WOMEX 11 Film Screening: "It was nice to have a large and appreciative audience for the screening of our 'Calypso Rose: the Lioness of the Jungle'. It helped us to get a US touring agent involved with Rose's touring."

__Important Note for Showcase Proposals__
Please bear in mind that the Sonicbids online proposal process might need some extra time. Do not leave it until the very last day.
After having completed Step I of the proposal process (creation and submission of your online EPK through Sonicbids) you should receive a confirmation email stating "WOMEX submission received". If you haven't got this mail, your submission is not completed! In this case please contact us at showcase@womex.com
Don't forget Step II: Send 2 CDs and DVDs/video material to our office in Berlin.
