In 2008, the two festivals Africolor and Les Rencontres Polyphoniques de Calvi together celebrated their 20th edition with two exemplary singers and their groups : Danyel Waro from La Reunion Island and Jean-Claude Acquaviva from Corsica. This creation had to have a sequel : after the rapture of the meeting, it seemed only right to partake in the joys of a reunion, with a new depth.

Islanders, activists, poets : just some of the things they have in common and which encouraged them to work together on a project. But the delicately unconventional voices of A Filetta which are an invitation to listen to the sacred in an enduring and sensual Corsican language, and the Reunion Creole language of Danyel Waro expressing his poetic and political texts, needed still more vocal commitment to achieve harmony.

Wishing to continue their cooperation and find new polyphonic arrangements, the two groups will enlarge their shared repertoire during a residence in La Reunion Island in September 2011 followed by two concerts at the Teat Plein Air of St Gilles de La Reunion and a European tour starting in early October.
