With its ardent and passionate vision of sacred and profane song, A Filetta is a magnificent polyphony choral group. Founded thirty years ago, A Filetta has produced thirteen albums and is one of the leading choral groups in Corsica. Consisting of seven male voices, this extraordinarily creative group perpetuates the island's oral traditions while also exploring other areas of polyphonic song, particularly in the creation of contemporary works.

Their thirty years of existence have been rich in experience and encounters, in theatrical productions, film music and scenic creation.
Film music: many productions with Bruno Coulais (Himalaya, Le Peuple Migrateur, Don Juan etc.)
Operas for children to the music of Bruno Coulais; booklets and direction of Orlando Forioso in collaboration with the artists of the Gruss Circus.
Theatre: Seneca's Medea, Marco Polo, Culomba, Don Ghjuvanni (Don Juan) etc.
Music: recent creation of a repertory resulting from a wonderfully fruitful meeting with Paolo Fresu (trumpet) and Daniele di Bonaventura (bandoneon).
Dance: creations with the choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (In Memoriam with the Ballets de Monte Carlo and Apocrifu at the Theatre de la Monnaie, Bruxelles).

"A vita cerca sempre un pratu novu a pasce" / "Time hardly ever lacks in a well-lived life"

The translation of "Bracana" can be "many-coloured" or "changing colour at the onset of maturity"; whatever the translation, it is the title of the new album which has 14 songs, a cappella as always and superbly arranged. The voices seize, amplify and clarify the emotion. There are new A Filetta creations such as the songs of a "Way of the Cross" performed at Calvi under the direction of the Neapolitan Orlando Forioso. The texts (except those of the liturgy) were written by Jean-Claude and Jean-Yves Acquaviva, Primo Levi, Pampasgiolu and Petru Santucci. This new collection reflects the ground covered over the past few years by this group which tries to be what it defends rather than to defend what it is "Bracana" is made up of snatches of life that the voices have crystallised over the years.
