A unique cross-cultural collaboration with an all-star line-up bringing together the sounds of Haiti, Madagascar and Reunion. Allen Juste is accordionist with Ti-Coca & Wanga Neges, chief exporters of Haitian merengue and konpa world-wide. Modern troubadour Beethova Obas is part of a new generation combining traditional Haitian music with conscious lyrics and a wide range of musical influences. Singer and kabosy, valiha and guitar player Tao Ravao's path has taken him to the Chicago blues and back to his Malagasy roots. Accordionist, percussionist, guitarist Rene Lacaille is the master of the sega rhythms of Reunion. Each of them a well-travelled representative of a distinctive musical culture, they come together not only to explore what their various musical traditions have in common but also how they can create a dynamic dialogue from one island to another.
