AFENGINN - STAND I.01 / I.02

Afenginns homebrewed and unique style has been categorized as 'bastard etno', in a style that grows out of world, punk and Nordic folk music and travels from the smallest pianissimo to wild and roaring parts.

Afenginn was lately chosen to be YOUNG ELITE by the Danish Arts Council, as well as receiving a Danish Music Award 2009 as contemporary "Artist of the year". With these good marks the ensemble is reaching out internationally.
They are famous for charismatic and amazing live performances with explosions of pure energy. The orchestra plays exclusively original compositions and have performed in clubs, festivals and radio and television shows in USA, Asia and Europe with more than 300 concerts in the past years.

Their four albums Retrograd, Akrobakkus, Reptilica Polaris and Bastard Etno have received rave reviews in the press and have also won several awards and nominations, including winning the title "Best World Album" in 2005 at the Danish World Music Awards and climbing the World Music charts Europe. Afenginn is always ambitious seeking new adventures, which can be heard on the monstrous concept album Reptilica Polaris and in previous work with Frank London from the Klezmatics.
