The Band at a glance The formation Nauria derives from Aracaju the capital of the province Sergipe in the northeast of Brazil, which has always been known for its musical tradition and innovation. Nauria call their sound Sambaiipoundo Groove thus a mixture of Samba and Baiipoundo and all in all seven musicians provide not only a packed stage, but also a rich variety of instruments: besides an e-guitar Cavaquinho, Caixa, Akkordeon, Zabumba and Surdo merge to a rhythmic and impulsive mix, that sometimes reminds of the cheerful tunes of bands like Les Negresses Vertes or Manu Chao, but never gives up its individuality.
