Ze Eduardo is one of the undeniable names in Portuguese and European jazz, not only for his work as a composer and musician, but also for the part he played, and still plays in the spread and promotion of this musical genre, through the creation and direction of several schools and orchestras.
"Ze Eduardo: A Jazzar no Zeca" reflects the work that Ze Eduardo has been developing since 2002, reinventing the musical themes that make up the Portuguese collective imaginary.
From the musical and human background of Ze Eduardo came up the idea of doing a tribute to one of the most important portuguese authors of all times Jose Afonso who was simultaneously one of the most important figures of the April revolution.
Songs like "Cantar Alentejano", "Coro da Primavera", "Traz outro amigo tambem", "Grandola" and "O que faz falta e avisar a malta", are included in "A Jazzar no Zeca" and are shown in a new form with original arrangements full of humor and magic.
Re-exposing this work, which consists of a fundamental part of Portuguese culture, in a new and inspired form led to international acclaim, with the media classifying it as "an exceptional record" (All About Jazz), "feverously recommended" (JazzReview.com) and "indispensable" (Tomajazz).
