ArpaJonda is the first stop of a research that covers a wide range of Flamenco styles: Tientos, Soleá, Seguiriyas, Granainas, Alegrías, Bulerías ... The harp accompanies with a purely flamenco language, a round and welcoming voice that easily adapts to the particular texture of this instrument.
This sum proposes a mixture of sounds and harmonic echoes, demonstrating that the subtle timbres and harp jonduras (depths) are also a way for flamenco.
In this ocassion, the harp approaches a flamenco repertoire in it’s traditional forms, as a soloist and accompanying the flamenco singing or cante. The resulting harp’s sound is unquestionably flamenco, searching and finding through its thirty eight strings, a new world of possibilities and nuances. The harpist freely explores the instrument, developing a new technique with the intention of making a purely flamenco project.
