Allan yn y Fan

Since 1996 Allan Yn Y Fan has carved out a reputation as one of Wales’ foremost traditional bands and built up an impressive catalogue of concert, festival and recorded work, as well as undertaking a number of European tours.

The multi-instrumental quintet, as famed now for their ’beautiful vocals’ as for their ‘fiery instrumentals’, breathe new life into the traditional songs and music of Wales as well as writing their own tunes inspired by their homeland and travels.

International appearances include Festival Interceltique Lorient in Brittany, concerts in France and Luxembourg and several successful tours to the Czech Republic and Germany. UK appearances include Glasgow’s Celtic Connections, Trowbridge Village Pump, Bromyard, Beverley, Brampton Live and Rhythms of the World Festivals, as well as the world-famous Llangollen International Eisteddfod.
In recent years the band has undertaken major theatre tours of Wales and England to support album releases and made a number of radio and television appearances.

Since 2003 Allan Yn Y Fan has released five albums and one EP, which have received critical acclaim. Their next album “Cool, Calm and Collected” due for issue early in 2014, will bring together a selection of digitally re-mastered favourites.
