Cristiana Águas, one of the most influent voices of the new fado generation, brings her soul into the music with a
tremendous talent, emotion and a strenght that inevitably fascinates everyone that listens to her. Unforgetable...
Singer with an international career, she studied chant and vocal technique, as well as portuguese guitar and
acordeon, Cristiana gathers her musicians around her warm, deep and powerful voice.
She won several prizes in different Fado contests all over the country and she was the voice of the character of the
eternal Fado singer Amália Rodrigues (20 years old character) in the film Amália Rodrigues, produced by
Valentim de Carvalho exhibited in 24 countries and Festivals like Cannes Festival and Festival Do Rio, Rio de
Janeiro.
She sang in the most well-known Fado houses in Lisbon, like Luso, Faia, Adega Machado and she regularly sings
in Clube de Fado in Lisbon. She has performed in different countries such as Brazil, Netherlands, United Kingdom,
France and Russia. She was also the host of the Japanese tv show JIN in Portugal, promoting the Portuguese
culture in Japan.
In 2014 her first Álbum, Cristiana Águas, was released. Recorded between Portugal and Brazil, it has the
participation of Pedro Moutinho, Cuca Roseta and Ney Matogrosso, that sing in duets with Cristiana.
She is now preparing a new Álbum, to be released in 2016.

“Cristiana Águas (...) overwhelming talent of emotion and sensibility, is the new great voice of the Portuguese
music. (...) You hear her once and you want to hear her again, and again, and again, and again.”
