This multicultural project based on the afro brazilian tradition of Bahia was founded by Murah Soares, Krista Zeissig and Dudu Tucci in Berlin - and it is considered to be one of the most beautiful and sophisticated blocos outside Brazil.
Initiated as a carnival project, Afoxe Loni opens the famous Carnival of World Cultures of Berlin every year with a group of 80-150 participants from all over Germany and Europe.
The professional core group offers different kind of stage performances and walking acts, thus representing the rich culture of Brazil to many sophisticated events in Europe and all over the globe.
Workshops in dance and percussion, duo performances of the two charismatic directors add interesting aspects to your festival; samba and maracatu may complete the offer for your audience to experience the beautiful and powerful rhythms and colours of Brazil.
