Arts Canteen is dedicated to promoting the rich diversity and dynamism of the performing and visual arts in the contemporary Middle East. We are passionate in our determination to bring these unheard voices to the UK.

We produce performing and visual arts events and promote artists from the Middle East and its diasporas.

Director, Aser El Saqqa, has over 10 years experience of managing cultural projects in the Middle East, working with emerging artists in Palestine and the Arab world and exploring issues of identity and roots through culture. Trained in Spain in Applied Arts, Aser is committed to bringing together artists and audiences from both the Middle East and UK. He is now based in London.

Arts Canteen wants to encourage and nurture a better appreciation of Middle Eastern cultural forms in the UK - avoiding stereotypes and showcasing creativity.
