Yang Jing is a virtuoso on the Pipa, the chinese moon-lute. She is famous as a composer and instrumentalist in Asia an is touring solo, in duo with Pierre Favre or with the Asia Ensemble. She combines the traditional chinese scales with western music such as improvisation and is one of the most interesting Asian artists up to date.
