Associazione Culturale Grand-Mere

Rémy Boniface and Mathieu Aymonod came up with the idea of Grand-mère project in May 2010. The association is set in the region of Aosta Valley and deals with the promotion, both at national and international level, of a number of traditional music groups coming from Western Alps (Piedmont and Aosta Valley).
They range from the single musician to a twenty-players orchestra, from the open-air performance to the concert in the theatre, from the folk dance to the organization of workshops for adults and children.
You can choose between a wide range of groups, whose variety in sound reflects all the facets of traditional music in Western Alps. Grand-mère deals both with groups that focus on innovation and composition, and with groups that carry out ethnomusicological research in their area.
