"GENAU!", the new, highly anticipated, album from Baro Drom Orkestar, published by the label "Musicastrada Records", produced by the Orkestar and Davide Mancini and distributed by Materiali Sonori. Tradition, innovation and above all originality are the key words that distinguish “GENAU!” due to the songs composed by the Orkestar that characterize this new job, an explosive, engaging mix that, as always wih the Orkestar, will have you dancing from the first note to the last. The change of the line up, with the inclusion of Vieri Bugli on violin and Michele Staino on electric double bass, supporting the “historic” and “stainless” Modestino Musico on accordion and Gabriele Pozzolini on drums and percussion, has given important new lifeblood to the ensemble, which comes out today with an ambitious album comprising many original songs that are going to define once and for all their unique style, trademark of the Orkestar, which has always been and still is a true train-like force in live shows. Recorded at Jambona Lab in Cascina by Antonio Castiello, the album features also some very special guests, traveling companions of the Orkestar, like the Serb accordionist Goran Kovacevic, percussionist and singer Rocco Zecca and the voice of Arianna Romanella. The first single, which also has its videoclip, called "Fanfara Ciociara", is a song that tips the hat to both the musical traditions of the Balkans as that of southern Italy. Composed by Modestino Musico and featuring a brass arrangement conceived by Vieri Bugli, it’s a song that very well represents the diverse musical influences of the band.
