Since they were formed in the year 2000, 'Gevende' have focused on perfecting their unique 'psychedelic folk' sound. Improvisation plays a key role in each stage performance and this open attitude has meant they have played with many diverse musicians both in Turkey and internationally.
Each live show is a 'Jam Session' and Gevende's tracks are testament to this process of live composition. Every track is an expression of the band's emotions on performance day and as a result, rehearsed and recorded songs take on new life and form when they are played live.The vocals are used instrumentally and words too are improvised, with meanings open to interpretation and only small fragments written.
