Marc Ernest studied at the Lebanese Higher National Conservatory for eight years. Started learning the classical piano, but he soon found himself suggested to take the bassoon as his main instrument with teacher Sebouh Tekian. Recently, Marc Ernest was studying with the late and renowned composer Mr. Boghos Gelalian (1927-2011) piano, music theory, harmony and counterpoint perfecting thus his knowledge and insight; in 2014 he graduated (BMus) Bachelor of Musicology at Holy-Spirit University in Kaslik (USEK)
On the other side, he is passionate about jazz and other alternative music expressed on his primary instrument, the piano. He worked on it on an independent basis, studying on his own the basics of jazz and other music idioms and their application on the piano. By 2007, he released his first album of Oriental Mouwachah (sung poetry of Andalusia and the Levant) called "Duende"
In the course of many occasions he had the chance to show and introduce his style of playing: recitals in a solo setup or with a band, film music, and theatre music. Arranger and pianist of the renowned Metro show "Aalam Al Tofnis" (2012), "Aghene Servicet" Taxi Songs (2015) among many other activities, including teaching. Co-founder of bands in different genres, like Osmosis (Soul- Funk 2008), Marc Ernest Trio (Jazz – Eclectic 2009), Little Tomatoes (Folk-Jazz 2012). Also a session player at Abeyrout studios, owned by Khaled Mouzannar.
His talent, accompanied by his skills, allows him to produce new kinds of combination that satisfy the ears of his listeners.
Added to that, he went on studying Philosophy at USJ, but never graduated.
