Armando Antonio Silveira da Silveira or Armandinho, was born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. He is a popular Brazilian singer, who made reggae on his starting point to achieve other genres and audiences.
In 2002 he launched his first CD "Armandinho" by Orbeat Music / RBS and already achieved success with songs such as "Ursinho de Dormir" (Teddy to sleep), "Balanço da Rede" (Hammock Swing) and "Rosa Norte" (North Rose), among others. The album won the gold disc by selling over 100,000 copies which led him to play at major festivals and venues in Brazil.
In 2004 he released the CD "Casinha" (Little House) featuring the smash hit !Desenho de Deus" (God's Drawing). Songs like "Pescador" (Fisherman) and "Toca uma Regueira Aí" (Play a Reggae Man) were are also successful." The album captured the attention of executives at Universal Music who hired the singer.
In 2006 he launched "Armandinho Live" featuring a live version of the song "God's Drawing" that ends up being the most played of the year on the radio.
In 2008 he released the CD "Semente" (Seed) and the song that gave name to the CD became an instant hit on the radio that took him beyond the boundaries. He went to Buenos Aires for a presentation at the classic Grand Rex Theater, sold out. The same phenomenon was repeated in Peru, Portugal and Uruguay.
In 2009 another challenge, after creating his own label and publishing company Alba Music he launches VOLUME 5. The album has came out with the hit "Amor de Primavera" (Love of Spring) which is largely played on the radio. In early 2010 he took part of the Festival "Planeta Atlantica" in its two editions: Florianopolis and on the coast of Rio Grande do Sul
In 2010, without having released any new album, in Latin America, a phenomenon happened. Many shows were held in crowded places with local audience that knew hoe to sing his songs and others are still scheduled to happen this year in Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, Peru, Paraguay. He also decided to record an acoustic show, a desired project that will bring songs in Portuguese and Spanish. This project will be released in the first semester of 2011.
