PADE - the show celebrates the partnership between the composer and singer Kiko Dinucci and the singer Jucara Marcal. This partnership has been developed since 2005, in a process of identity between musical and artistic references affinities of these two musicians. From the beginning, Kiko and Jucara signed the partnership, only to sing and play sambas. And since 2005 the show "A new story beggins at every minute" was presented in many venues of Sao Paulo and in the countriside (SESC Vila Mariana, SESC Araraquara, Space Ney Mesquita, Bar o O do Borogodo, among others), with a large variety of classics of Brazilian, songs by Kiko Dinucci, and other paulistanos composers.

With the deepening of their relationship and focus directed to several other musical genres, Kiko and Jucara decided to record an album with recording many of the songs that formed the repertoire of shows. That's how the cd PADE was born, recorded in 2006 and completed in 2007. This work was awarded with the Prize Ney Mesquita of the Music Cooperative of Sao Paulo to projects that encourage new and innovative music. The jury was composed by Suzana Salles, Chico Cesar, Arrigo Barnabe, Camilo Carrara and Luiz Gayotto.

In Yoruba language, the word Pade (PADE) means finding. In the african-religious tradition (predominantly in Candomble) Pade is usually the opening ceremony dedicated to the orisha Exu, who is offered songs and tributes made mainly of palm oil and manioc flour dumped from the entrance of the terreiro (the place where the cult is on) to the street.

For too long the Pade was seen as the act of dispatching Exu. It was believed (and many terreiros still do it) that if the Orisha didn't receive the due homage, something wouldn'twork well. This belief is even more plausible if we consider police harassment of African religions, which often ended with the parties in Candomble.
But returning to the original meaning of the ceremony, the Pade serves as a catalyst for superhuman energy, in which the faithful recall the ancestors and ask for protection (egunguns) and ancestors mothers, and Exu is responsible to take these requests to these entities, as a messenger that is effective and faithful. He is also responsible for bringing the the Gods of Africa dance to in Brazilian soils, without Pade there's no ceremony, it will only be achieved if Exu is always the first to receive the tributes.

Not surprisingly, therefore, PADE is the name of the debut album of Jucara Marcal and Kiko Dinucci. Although they have been in Sao Paulo music scene for a long time, it was the first time the composer had his songs recorded on CD and the first time Jucara recorded a cd as a solo singer.

REPERTOIRE
The show consists, mostly, of the songs taken from the album PADE, with compositions by Kiko Dinucci and also with the great authors of Brazilian music (Batatinha, Candeia) and the scene in Sao Paulo: Paulo Padilha, Walter Garcia, Luiz Tatit, Andrew Antonio Bueno and Lincoln, in addition to songs learned from traditional Brazilian popular culture, from the work of Jucara in group A Barca.
