WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The winners of the BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music which were
nominated by the WOMEX delgates have now been announced. They are:
* Africa: Djelimady Tounkara (Mali)
* Asia/Pacific: Yat Kha (Tuva)
* Americas: Orlando 'Chachaito' Lopez (Cuba)
* Europe/Middle East: Taraf de Haidouks (Romania)
* Boundary crossing (Fusion): Nitin Sawhney (UK/Various)
* Innovator: Manu Chao (France)
* Newcomer: Susheela Raman (UK)

The Poll-Winners Concert at the Ocean (London-Hackney) on Mon 28 Jan will feature every single one of this year's winners except for Manu
