The orchestra Septentrional of Haiti is the oldest urban formation of music still in activity in Haiti. Throughout its 59 years of career, the band went through numerous hardships and as many trends which it knew how to integrate, leading to create its repertoire of more than three hundreds recorded tracks. A true monument of Haitian music, the "Haitian Fireball" and its big band made of thirteen musicians including trumpets and saxophones today goes on travelling North and South of the country, within the sound of meringue, konpa, bolero and other "fire rhythms".
