Jonathan Da Silva

French-Brazilian Jonathan da Silva, was born in 1982 in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Comedian, musician and dancer, since 1999 he undertakes researches around the immaterial heritage of the culture in Brazil. Further to a formation at the School of the Comedian in Curitiba, he becomes a professor of Capoeira Angola in 2001.

Assistant-chorégraphe of the Biennial event of the Dance of Lyon in 2002, he settles down in France where he pursues his studies: Second-year university diploma in Art history and Master's degree of Research in Anthropology of the Education.

Dynamic artist, he intervenes in numerous international educational and artistic projects, joining in 2004 the Company Simaka with whom he turns regularly shows for young audience in France, in Africa, to the Caribs (Carribbean islands) and in Brazil.

Co-founder of the association Casamarela, he signs the artistic direction of the festival Zoom Brasil.
