Calima
Calima brings a multicultural essence to their music, drawing from the cultural and national diversity of a group of experienced musicians and performers. Their show, which is further highlighted by the presence of dancers and movement, is a complete experience for the audience which they succeed in drawing into their performance as willing participants.
With a distinct Flamenco touch, they create an elegant fusion with Brazilian, Cuban and Hindu percussion, violins, trumpets, palmas [characteristic hand-clapping in flamenco]. Their dance-oriented and rhythmic music flows with elements of funk, rap and ethnic sounds.
Calima breathes and, in so doing, gives freshness, spontaneity, brightness and color to its performances.
