In 2009, Calima released "Tierra", their second album. Conscious of the influences of western music on the music of other world cultures, Calima succeeds in infusing their Flamenco-based compositions with elements of music from the Mediterranean and the coasts of Africa. The music pulses to the rhythms of Rumba, Soul, Flamenco, Latin, Hip Hop, Bossa and Jazz. In this landmark recording, Calima has collaborated with famous gypsy musicians…the voices of Bebe and "Mari" of Chambao… and artists from the local jazz-scene such as Raynald Colom (Trumpet) and Dennis "El Huevo" (Cuban trumpeter) just to mention a few from a long list of illustrious talent.
