OQuadro is one of the bands from Bahia, Brazil, which represents a trend in Hip Hop entitled New School, that seeks aesthetic innovation through dialogue with other musical styles and cultural movements. The group's compositions oscillate between bravery and gentleness, the local and the universal, and its many influences. Recorded at the studios of the label Coaxo do Sapo, mixed and produced by the sound engineer Buguinha Dub, the cd contains 11 tracks with the selection of the best that the group made over about 15 years of a road life. Themes in various compositions, engaging lyrics, influenced by other arts, like literature and film, show a characteristic way of exposing the typical language of rap. Besides, their musical compositions emanate influences ranging from Dub, pass by Afrobeat and flirt with the Jazz, Rock and Samba. Merged, such rhythms build the musical identity of tireless boys from southern Bahia. With special features, like Guilherme Arantes playing his keyboards and interacting with the band, the rapper from São Paulo Lurdez da Luz and Mc Dimak helped brighten even more this album. The CD cover was signed by renowned artists Izolag and Ananda Nahu.
