Hector Guerra presents "La Cumbia Callejera" New Single and Video

HECTOR GUERRA
Presents "La Cumbia Callejera" the New Single and Video from His Latest Album "Desde el Infierno".

The Video is a Humble tribute to One of the Most Populated Neighborhoods in the Outskirts of Mexico City: Ecatepec

Hector Guerra reinterprets in his new single and video, one of the great classics of popular music in Mexico, accompanied by Alberto Pedraza, author and interpreter of La Cumbia Callejera [Street Cumbia] who is considered the King of the sonidero music in Mexico. To give it an urban touch, he taps in musical production by Professor Angel Dust, a Mexican producer based in Barcelona.

The cumbia sonidera music is born in the street- in the inner city neighborhoods- it is popular; it belongs to the people, to the to the low class worker, to the student, to the people who simply get up every morning spreading joy in the hard streets of the outskirts in Mexico City. The sonidero in Mexico is equivalent to what the sound system is in Jamaica. Its main stage is in the street where you eat, drink, live and dance.
The video clip was directed by Hector Guerra himself, as a small tribute to Ecatepec: an outskirt neighborhood of Mexico City that is one of the most popular and most violent zones with more than one million residents. It is there where Hector lived and worked for some time with his collective Pachamama Familia, organizing rap workshops with young people at risk of social exclusion.

In Ecatepec, the cumbia sonidera sounds every day in every corner and mixes the sounds of the new generations, rap, reggaeton and trap.

La Cumbia Callejera is the third single of Hector's latest album Desde el Infierno, the third record from his album trilogy Amor Desde el Infierno [Love From Hell].
