Only 30 years of age, Martin Lubenov already belongs to the greatest contemporary virtuosos, arrangers and composers of Balkan accordion music. With breathtaking virtuosity and playful elegance the young Bulgarian master combines Balkan Roma music with shades of swing, modern jazz, tango nuevo, salsa and musette and, in doing so, pays honour to his roots like Astor Piazzolla did to tango and Richard Galliano to musette.
In 2006 he was awarded the renowned French Prix Gus Viseur, category Jazz/World.
