CARLA SINISGALLI is a native of Sao Paulo and her music rightly represents the contemporary music scene produced there. In both written and spoken form, she is able to drift effortlessly between classical and popular culture, by drawing from all her diverse influences. Through this Carla manages to create a new vanguard of music, undefined, unique and indescribable. Her first self-produced album, “Kiessá”, takes its listener on a voyage; from her native Portuguese, through to French and English, passing by Hebrew to a local dialect from Cape Verde and most magically an original language, shaped by Carla’s vision, which resembles the indigenous dialects found in Brazil.
