The Brazilian guitar duo, formed by Chico Saraiva and Daniel Murray, will have its debut in Paris in November of 2009 playing compositions by Chico Saraiva (winner of VI the Visa Prize 2003 – Class Composers). With strong references in Villa Lobos, Tom Jobim, Paulo Bellinatti and Guinga, the DUO SARAIVA-MURRAY combines multiple fields of music making: the folklore and avant-garde, the written music and improvisations, the song and the acoustic guitar, the popular and the classical. Having already significant role in these individual universes, the young members of the duo have put together a chamber music language of their own, enabling partnerships with musicians, performers and creators of different areas.
