Balafon magique
Aly Keita a grandi au milieu d'instruments traditionnels tels que le djembe et la kora. Mais son instrument de predilection deviendra le balafon qu'il construira tres jeune de ses propres mains. Des virtuoses du balafon comme Aly, on en compte peu, capable de jouer toutes les musiques avec tous les musiciens de la planete. Et il ne s'en prive pas : il a joue avec Omar Sosa, Rhoda Scott, Etienne M'Bappe, Linley Marthe, Paolo Fresu, Paco Sery, Trilok Gurtu, Hans Luedemann ou Joe Zawinul... En novembre 2008, Aly avait constitue un 5tet compose de Dobet Gnahore (chant), Boris Tchango (batterie), Clive Govinden (basse) et Pierre Vaiana (saxophone), pour jouer les themes de son premier album solo "Akwaba Inisene". Il aime aussi se produire en solo pour une magistrale demonstration de son tres grand talent.
Magic balafon
Born in a musicians's family, Aly Keita makes his own balafons and plays them continually in order to excel alongside the very best. Now living in Germany, he has participated in a number of projects with Omar Sosa, Rhoda Scott, Paco Sery, Etienne M'Bape, Paolo Fresu, Joe Zawinul... With his impressive virtuosity, Aly develops spectacular and enchanting African polyphonies on his instrument with one thousand and one waves of his (two) wands
