One of New Zealand's most exciting emerging acts, Summer Thieves, are gaining an impressive reputation and demanding the attention of fans and the industry alike with their exhilarating live show and unique sound. A sound that has gained the co-sign and validation that comes with working with one of the nations most well-known and successful artists/producers on their forthcoming debut album and can be witnessed on the single, ‘Love is Lost’.

Over the last 12 months, Summer Thieves, have been working under the mentorship and direction of multi-award winning and multi-platinum producer, Tiki Taane (Six60, Shapeshifter, The Adults). The tutelage that the band has gained in working with such an experienced artist and producer has proven invaluable in helping to hone their own sound and expand their profile.

In the last couple of years Summer Thieves have harnessed and developed their live show to such a proficient level it has seen them share the stage with not only the nations best, but some colossal international heavyweights. Earlier this year they joined Australian stars, Sticky Fingers, on their sold-out NZ tour; adding another huge name to the 'who's who' list of acts they have worked with. A list that boasts the likes of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, De La Soul, Six60, David Dallas, Katchafire, Tiki Taane, Kora, and many more.
They've played incredible crowds at the likes of Rhythm and Vines, Kaikoura Summer Sounds, La De Da and have been demanded for three straight years for the Otago University O'Week festival. Using these chances to build friendships and learn from an
eclectic artist community has been a major priority which is helping lay the foundation for one of the nation's future big name acts.

With everything gained from their journey so far, the completion of their debut album sees the final pieces of the puzzle being locked into place to launch Summer Thieves to the forefront of the New Zealand music industry and beyond.
