At the age of only 30 years, Martin Lubenov belongs already to the greatest contemporary virtuosos, arrangers and composers for Balkan accordion. With breathtaking virtuosity and playful elegance the young Bulgarian virtuoso combines Balkan Roma music with shades of swing, modern jazz, tango nuevo, salsa and musette and, doing so, pays honour to it like Astor Piazzolla did to tango and Richard Galliano did to musette.

After the success of Martin's debut album Dui Droma (Martin Lubenov Orkestar) we are now happy to announce the release of his second album Veselina (Jazzta Prasta Band).

Jazzta Prasta are the jazzier mini-version of the Martin Lubenov Orkestar: breathtaking virtuosity, rich harmonies, unusual arrangements, the most complex rhythms possible, respectless-playful improvisations and vertiginous melody loopings. Without pompous objective, the members of this unorthodox balkan quartet flavour their unconventional fusion of Bulgarian folk and jazz not only with all kinds of ethnic quotations, but serve this mixture with casual matter-of-factness and tremendous vitality.
