Zé Luiz Mazziotti’s new album is, in the artist’s own words, a “dream come true”. And also, it is a very personal homage to Chico Buarque de Hollanda. In the set list, hits, “As Vitrines”, rare songs, such as “Embarcação” and even some early compositions, like “Ela Desatinou” and even a French version to “Eu Te Amo”, by Chico himself, never recorded before.

The album covers almost 20 years of Chico’s production, but its main attention is devoted to the 1980’s. The lyrics, dealing especially with love and its absence, match perfectly the sophisticated arrangements made by Zé Luiz’s band. The cool tone of the album, with slower and “romantic” tempos, and the singer’s warm and low voice enrich the lyricism of the songs.

Zé Luiz also had the privilege of Chico’s own presence -singing in a duet with him- on the track “Cadê Você”.
