Ana Bacalhau was born in Lisbon in 1978. With a degree in Modern Languages and Literature - Portuguese/English and a Post-Graduation in Archive, has had voice lessons with the acclaimed Portuguese Soprano Lia Altavilla for two years. Founded the modern Portuguese music band Lupanar with which she participates alongside the most renowed Portuguese musicians on a tribute album to the great Carlos Paredes. Also founded a Jazz trio named Tricotismo with which she has played in several Jazz Festivals.
