DESFOLCA'T! CATALAN FOLK FESTIVAL, dated back to 1992, is a 2 days folk music festival held in Calaf, a small town in the center of Catalonia. It is one of the biggest folk and traditional music festivals in Catalonia and specially from 2002 to nowadays has hosted some of the best international folk bands including Lou Dalfin(Piemont,2009), La Volée D'Castors (Quebec, 2008), Shooglenifty (Scotland, 2007), kila (Ireland, 2006), Bratsch (France, 2005), Oysterband (Wales/Scotland, 2003), La Belle Image (2003) and Riccardo Tessi & Banditaliana (Piemont, 2002) together with the best of Catalan traditional music! It has a successful template. The core element of the festival is Saturday night, which hosts first a Folk Music Show (just 2 songs per artist, as there are usually a total of 11 groups!), then live concerts in pubs and streets (7 live concerts simultaneously!) and, finally, a big concert with international artist and a fanfare, which is a festival highpoints year after year!
