Brass band is the music of love, happiness and celebration. Its indian traditional plays an essential role in everyday life.
JAIPUR MAHARAJA BRASS BAND originates from the city of maharajas. Jaipur is the city where traditions are still deeply rooted, home town to the well-known family of dhoad gypsies who gave birth to the tabla maestro AMRAT HUSSAIN. Being the artistic director who intiated this stunning experience he selected the most talented musicians from the best local bands fromrajasthan.
The band consists of a female gypsy dancer, fakir juggler and 7 musicians who play a wide range of instruments including clarinets, trumpets, trombones, tubas, saxophones. They have created their own unique style combining indian melodies, the powerful traditional folk music of rajasthan with popular themes from bollywood films or even a touch hindustani classical music.
The resulting sound is as unique and unexpected as it is refined. The colourful performance they deliver leaves you breathless.
