The Record:
Inês Duarte new album its schedule to be released in November of 2008 in Portugal. In this album we can listen to 12 songs, in its majority original: Where the fadista soft tone of Inês Duarte’s voice gets us back to the Fado tradition, but equally make us to travel to African sunsets, having as well some exquisite jazz influences.
This record has the collaboration of a very special guest, Carlos do Carmo. His presence is carved in the duet with Inês Duarte in the song “ Dentro de mim, Lisboa”.
Valter Rolo is the producer and musical director of this work, having recorded the acoustic piano as well. Ines Duarte still counts on a musical accompaniment of exception; Bernardo Couto (Portuguese guitar), Diogo Clemente (viola de Fado), Marino de Freitas ( bass and co-production), Celina da Piedade (accordion), Bruno Baião (cello), António Barbosa (violin), Sertório Calado (percussion), Alain Chafehwé (drums), Múcio Sá (violão) and José Canha (double bass).
In this record, Ines Duarte interprets poems of Tiago Torres da Silva, Fernando Gomes, Natália Correia, Miguel Torga, among others.

Biography:
Inês Duarte started in Fado music by the age of 14, won the 1st prize in a Fado contest in her home town city of Setúbal, one year after she started her music studies with lessons of vocals. Frequented the great school that constitutes the Houses of Fado and Colectivities of Culture and Entertainment of Lisbon, where she participated in several shows with other great fadistas.
In June 19th of 1999 won the 2nd place in the category of senior in the Great Night of Fado carried through in the Coliseu of the Recreios in Lisbon. In the same year, released her first album entitled “Reflexus”.
The shows are a constant of its career, having sung from north to south of Portugal and in other several European countries. Inês Duarte had the honour to work with the deceased Maestro José Marinho in the project “Quinteto Amália”.
In the scope of the commemorations of the 10th of June of the year of 2007, Inês Duarte was invited to fill the musical moment offered by the committtee of the Presidency of the Republic.
