Discmedi is a Spanish record company settled in Barcelona that runs as producer, publisher and distributor since 1989.

We're deeply involved in Brazilian music by licencing and distributing records as famous as ´En La Fusa´ featuring Vinicus De Moraes, Maria Bethania, Maria Creuza and Toquinho, probbaly the most influential bossa-nova album ever recorded. In addition, we distribute albums by Chico Buarque, Tom Jobim, Jorge Ben, Hamilton de Holanda and many more.

Recently, under our new label "ZunZúnCuba ", we have produce the double cd+dvd "Cuba le Canta A Serrat", a tribute to catalan poet and song writter Joan Manuel Serrat, paid by the major cuban artists :Omara Portuondo, Ibrahim Ferrer (in fact, here is his ultimate recording), Chucho Valdes, Familia Valera Miranda, Silvio Rodriguez, Pabla Milanes, Pio Leyva, etc...

Jazz is another field in which we focus our interests. We distribute world wide the finest Tete Montoliu recordings.

As spanish company, we are proud to publish the best Galician artists like Milladoiro, Mercedes Peon, Fia Na Roca between others, great collections of traditional and classic Flamenco, and more over we release also the good Mediterranean music good traditional music from Catalonia, The Balearic and The Canary Islands.
