When Pernett appears on 2003 with his first work called “Musica para Pick Up”, was growing an interesting musical movement in Latin America, there was an awake of the roots. In Colombia Pernett was the pioneer of a new maket characterized by the creation of independent labels and original music based on the traditions. He mix electronic music with traditional colombian caribbean sounds, in the beginning he was labeled like a geek and a fool, but now 15 years ago his crazy idea is the sound of many bands in Colombia. His writes talks about many things but in special talks about the protection of the enviroment and the expansion of the concience, all this mixed with a touch of humor and caribbean flavor. His sixth album called “Siembra Solo Amor” is a clear reference of this. Pernett mix different skills, like sing, compose, produce, and play traditional instruments from Colombia like his “Gaita”, traditional instrument created by the native indigeneus of the colombian caribbean coast, and play the sinthesizers all this mixed with drums and percussions.
